L'Oreal INOA colour without ammonia
INOA's patented Oil Delivery System is the basis of the formula, which contains 60% oil. L'Oréal developed it to deliver high impact colour with scalp comfort in mind. The fluid texture helps the professional hair colourist mix, apply and rinse the product during a service.
- Ammonia-free permanent colour for long-lasting salon results.
- Up to 100% grey coverage with the appropriate shade and application method.
- Oil-based technology and a fluid consistency for controlled application.
- A choice of depths and reflects for natural-looking results or a change of tone.
- 60g colour tube; compatible INOA oxydant is required separately.
Permanent hair colour is a commitment: roots grow through even when the lengths retain their colour. Plan the shade and maintenance appointment around the client's natural depth, existing dye and preferred finish.
Shade selection
L'Oréal Professionnel INOA permanent hair colour: shade selection
Compare the full shade number with your professional colour chart and client record. The first part describes the depth; the reflect identifies the tonal direction. Similar-looking names or swatches can represent different formulas, so order by code as well as the colour description.
For example, the shade selector distinguishes 6 Dark Blonde from 6.0 Deep Dark Blonde and 6.23 Dark Iridescent Golden Blonde. These are separate choices; check the stock status of your required code rather than substituting a neighbouring number.
INOA hair colour results depend on the starting base, percentage of white hair and previous services. Assess regrowth separately from lengths and ends, particularly when they are already coloured or porous. Match your grey coverage formula to the manufacturer's guidance for the chosen shade rather than assuming that every reflect performs identically.
Mixing & developer compatibility
INOA oxydant, mixing and development time
Use only the recommended INOA oxidants for this system. L'Oréal Professionnel's guidance specifies equal parts colour and dedicated developer, a 1:1 ratio, with a standard development time of 35 minutes. Check the supplied pack and current technical instructions before each service.
The recommended INOA developer range includes 10, 20 and 30 volume options. Select the appropriate strength for the desired depth, coverage and levels of lift; a higher strength is not automatically the right choice. Do not substitute a general cream oxidant, a DIA activator or a different brand's developer for the dedicated INOA system.
Follow the application, emulsification and finishing instructions for the exact product. At the end of processing, emulsify as directed and rinse thoroughly before completing the specified cleansing step. Keep hairdressing tools, timing and measurements consistent with the professional protocol.
Frequently asked questions
INOA hair dye: questions about the shade range
Is INOA ammonia-free?
Yes, INOA is ammonia-free. This describes its formulation; it does not mean the hair dye is allergy-free or suitable for every scalp. Follow all manufacturer precautions and allergy alert testing requirements, even when the client has used hair colour products before. Professional use only.
Is this INOA 60g or 60ml?
This Mus & Co product is sold as a 60g tube. Some listings elsewhere use 60ml in their titles; use the unit and instructions printed on the product supplied when measuring a mixture. Do not convert between weight and volume by assumption.
Can INOA cover white hair?
The range offers up to 100% white hair coverage. The colourist must choose a suitable shade and follow the relevant white-coverage rules. Starting colour, hair history and application quality all affect the finished result.
Which L'Oréal colour should I choose for a different service?
For an alternative permanent range, browse Majirel hair colour. For a tone refresh on previously coloured lengths, explore Dia Light acidic gloss colour. Each system has its own developer and service instructions.
How do I plan colour maintenance?
Keep the shade code and service formula in the client's record, assess regrowth at each appointment and use appropriate colour-care products between services. Good hair care supports a consistent routine, while the next formula should reflect the current condition rather than simply repeating the previous root-to-tip application.
