L'Oréal Professionnel Oxydant Creme Developer 1000ml

Use with the compatible professional colour or lightener

L'Oréal Professionnel Cream Oxydant: 1000ml hair colour developer

Complete your professional colour order with L'Oréal Oxydant Creme, an oxidising cream developer for use with compatible L'Oréal Professionnel products. The cream developer and the chosen colour or lightener work as a system. This bottle contains developer only; it is not a finished hair colour and does not include a tube of dye or bleach powder.

The 1000ml size is equivalent to one litre. The options on this page are 12.5 vol (3.75%), 20 vol (6%), 30 vol (9%) and 40 vol (12%). Select the precise strength required before adding it to your basket, and confirm the percentage printed on the bottle when it arrives. Availability is shown for the selected option.

L'Oréal Professionnel cream oxydant is designed for use with the Majirel family and Blond Studio Multi-Techniques 8 levels powder. Compatibility must still be checked against the exact colourant or lightener and formula version being used. A shared brand name does not mean that every developer can be exchanged between ranges.

When restocking a hair and beauty salon, record the full oxidant name as well as the strength. Cream peroxide, cream oxydant and creme developer are common descriptions, but the formula and brand pairing still matter. The creamy texture does not by itself establish compatibility with a different manufacturer’s colour.

    Choosing the right product

Oxydant Creme specification: 12.5 vol, 20 vol, 30 vol and 40 vol

The volume and percentage describe the strength of the hydrogen peroxide developer. They are not shade numbers. Your colourist chooses the appropriate strength according to the colour system, starting base, intended lift and hair condition.

    12.5 vol (3.75%) cream oxydant

The 12.5 volume option is a lower-strength choice for services that specifically permit it. The current Majirel guidance includes refreshing previously coloured lengths and ends with this strength. Confirm the product pairing and directions before use; it is not a substitute for Diactivateur.

    20 vol 1000ml developer (6%)

For Majirel, the manufacturer associates 20 volume with coverage, same-depth or darker colouring and up to two levels of lift. These are service-specific guidelines, not universal promises for every hair colour or lightening product.

30 vol (9%) for the specified colour service

The current Majirel guidance links 30 volume to up to three levels of lift. The existing base and intended result still need professional assessment. A formula suitable for natural regrowth may be inappropriate for porous, previously coloured lengths.

40 vol (12%): check application restrictions

The presence of a 40 vol option does not make it suitable for every application, especially on the scalp. Check the permitted strength for the product and technique. For bleach, the ratio and on-scalp or off-scalp restrictions must come from the lightener’s instructions.

Record both volume and percentage in the salon formula. Do not dilute a stronger developer to create another strength unless the manufacturer explicitly provides that method. Higher peroxide strength does not automatically improve grey coverage or the quality of the result.

    Mixing & developer compatibility

Mixing L'Oréal Professionnel Oxydant Creme with Majirel

For a compatible Majirel service, the standard mixing ratio is one part colour to 1.5 parts recommended cream oxydant. The current 60ml Majirel guidance gives 60ml colour with 90ml developer. Tube sizes and formula versions can differ, so use the actual pack instructions when measuring your mixture.

See our Majirel colour selection when preparing a colour order. Confirm the chosen shade, the required developer strength and the amount needed for the service. Accurate measuring and the correct pairing matter more than changing the ratio to make the mixture appear thicker or thinner.

For Blond Studio Multi-Techniques 8, use the powder's technique-specific directions. Open-air, enclosed and on-scalp applications have different requirements. Do not use the Majirel colour mixing ratio as a general bleach formula, and do not exceed the processing instructions for the selected lightener.

INOA uses its dedicated oxydant system, while Dia Light uses the recommended Diactivateur. This cream peroxide should not be assumed to replace either one. Likewise, a Blond Studio product that specifies an oil developer needs its own pairing checked. Read the full names on both containers before preparing any formula.

For a 50ml Majirel tube whose pack specifies the same 1:1.5 ratio, the corresponding developer amount is 75ml. The larger 60ml tube needs 90ml at that ratio. Measure against the actual tube size; do not keep using an old quantity simply because the product name is familiar.

    Frequently asked questions

Ingredient and handling questions for cream oxydant

Can I use developer on its own? This product is intended as part of a compatible professional colouring or lightening system. It is not a stand-alone toner, conditioner or ready-to-use hair dye. Select the accompanying colour or bleach first, then match the developer to the permitted service.

Does it guarantee an even colour result? No product description can guarantee the same outcome on every head of hair. Previous colour, porosity, application and development all influence the result. An experienced colourist should assess the hair and select the formula before using professional colour products.

Is this always the latest OTT packaging? Product packaging may change. The manufacturer now describes an Odour Trapping Technology version, but the benefits and instructions for a new version should not be assumed for every bottle. Check the formula and information on the pack supplied, particularly when combining existing salon stock with a new delivery.

What precautions apply? Read the warnings on both the developer and the colour or lightener. Wear suitable gloves and avoid contact with eyes. For the specified Majirel colour service, follow the allergy alert test instructions at least 48 hours before application. Keep professional products away from children and follow the bottle’s storage guidance.

How much should I order? Plan around the mixing ratio and the amount needed for the appointment rather than a fixed number of applications per bottle. Different services use different quantities. Keep the original container labelled and properly closed, and check the product condition and manufacturer guidance before use.

Shop L'Oréal Professionnel Oxydant Creme Developer 1000ml at Mus & Co by selecting the required volume above. Check your colour or bleach pairing and the strength before checkout so the professional service can be prepared with the correct products.

    Ingredient and specification checks

Hydrogen peroxide is the active oxidising ingredient. Use the complete ingredient list on the bottle for the formula supplied, and check the volume, percentage and 1000ml specification against your order. For UK salon supplies, keep each original label readable so that similar-looking bottles are not confused at the mixing station.

Processing time for regrowth, lengths and ends

Development and processing time belong to the chosen colour or lightening service. A regrowth application may need a different approach from previously coloured lengths and ends. To get the best results from a professional formula, follow the manufacturer’s application, timing and rinse instructions instead of extending development because extra lift is desired.
